Elissa Jordan of Winefulness - Event Manager
Elissa’s currently studying towards a WSET diploma. Passionate about educating people about wine, provoking discussion, answering questions and creating a context where like or dislike takes a back seat to being able to say why.
Amy Farnsworth of Regional Wines & Spirits - Event Captain
Amy is a passionate natural wine advocate. She holds a WSET diploma in Wine and Spirits, and Graduate Diplomas in Viticulture and Oenology from Beaune and Lincoln. She has worked vintages all over the world.
Stephen Wong MW of Wine Sentience
Master of Wine, sommelier and wine consultant Stephen runs Wine Sentience, a small hospitality education and support business in Wellington. He is a champion of natural wines and loves to provoke discussion among wine lovers.
Richard Klein of Artigiano Imports
Richard established Artigiano Imports in 2002 to bring artisan foods and wines into New Zealand at affordable prices. He’s an expert in the interesting and unusual wines of Italy, including organic, biodynamic and natural wines.
Johannes Bay of Wine Sentience
Graphic designer Johannes is studying for his Bachelor’s Degree in Design at Massey, and honing his palate outside of school. He pairs his love of wine with the sharp visuals of Budburst’s programme, posters and logo.
Brandon Nash of Dhall & Nash
Brandon is a wine judge and educator with a Bachelor’s Degree in Viticulture from E.I.T in Hawkes Bay. He worked with Craggy Range for several years before starting Dhall and Nash Fine Wines.
Kelly Fisher of Kelly Fisher Yoga
A wine enthusiast rather than a wine expert, Kelly is our voice of reason. She represents Budburst’s target market: open minded and curious.
Jules van Costello of Hillside Kitchen & Cellar & Cult Wine
Jules is a beer, wine and food writer and sommelier, with a decade’s experience in hospitality. He’s a partner in two restaurants and author of Brewed: A Guide to the Craft Beer of New Zealand.
